Becoming our winemaker in 2002 at age 22 probably made Ken the youngest head winemaker in Canada at the time. This, at a time when our vineyards came into one of the largest crops we have ever had, made it a challenging time for a young, new winemaker. Despite that, Ken released his first wine, 2002 Riesling, which went on to win Best in Category and Double Gold awards in the U.S. and Canada. He’s never looked back since winning dozens of awards and accolades and bringing us through to our new facility expansion. Ken has consulted for some local startup wineries as well as consulting work in China. He has a natural flair for winemaking.
